Jeff  Miller    Director/Little Kids - Head Coach


Randy  Faires    Big Kids - Head Coach
Coach Randy wrestled in both both High School and College. He had a tremendious High School career and in 1966 he tied with Dan Gable and 2 others with a 100% win record. Coach Randy's college record was just as outstanding, 44-1. Between High School and College his overall record was a cumulative and rare 100-1. He was undefeated for seven years between ninth grade until his last match in college. Some of Coach Randy’s wrestling honors/achievements include:
Georgia Tech Invitational Champion 1969 at 130lbs;
3 Time SEIWA Champion 1969 at 123lbs, 1970 at 134lbs, 1971 at 134 lbs.;
Outstanding Wrestler Award, Chattanooga Chamber of Commerce 1971; Sports Illustrated Merit Award 1971, for 100 Varsity Wins in Row High School and College;
Best Win: a 14-3 decision over Herb Singerman the Canadian National Champion and Olympian also he was Athlete of the year in Montreal;
Was inducted to the University Tennessee, Chattanooga Sports Hall of Fame in 1992;
Recognized at one of the Chattanooga Area’s All-Time Wrestling All-Stars 1st Team 105lbs in 1999;
Inducted into the Greater Chattanooga Area Sports Hall of Fame in 2002.


Since College, Coach Randy has coached at various levels and has been instrumental in promoting the sport in all of the programs that he’s been involved. He Founded the Wrestling Program at Pebblebrook High School Mableton, Georgia in 1972 while also working as the football assistant coach and teaching Physical Science. From 1973-1974 he was the graduate assistant wrestling coach at University of Georgia-Athens. From 1974-1977 he Started the Georgia Freestyle Wrestling Association (GFWA), a not-for-profit organization formed for the sole purpose of improving high school wrestling in Georgia. From 1986-1988 he served as the volunteer wrestling coach at Riverwood High School. From 1992-1993 served as the volunteer wrestling coach at Wheeler Middle School. From 2005 to present, we’ve been pleased to have Coach Randy as our volunteer middle school Head Coach for our Roswell JR. Hornets.

Coach Randy has been building a solid and impressive resume as a coach that is sure to equal his wrestling career. His wall of fame as a coach includes: Junior Olympics Southeast Regional Winners, All-Americans Junior Olympics placers, Junior Olympics All-Americans, Georgia State Federation Champions, National Wrestling Federation placers, Georgia AAAA state placers, and Grand National Wrestling Championships placers.

Since 2005, Coach Randy has used his expertise and dedication to the sport of wrestling in his coaching ability to build up our Roswell middle school program as well. For our Roswell Wall of Fame we credit Coach Randy for the following coaching achievements:

2006 - Adam Wilson4th Place 105 lbs. – Georgia Big Kids State Championships
2007 - Jake Martin 1st Place 95 lbs. – Georgia Big Kids State Championships (Roswell’s first ever State Champion).
2007 - Brennan Ninesling, 4th - Georgia Big Kids State Championships
2008 – Kenny Smith, 1st, 175; Brennan Ninesling, 2nd - Georgia Big Kids State Championships
2008 – Middle School Team - Sixth Place, Middle School State Duals – USAW.
2009 – Charles Routt, 1st Place 97 lbs.; Brennan Ninesling, 1st Place 75lbs; Landon Ninesling, 2nd Place 65 lbs.; Ryan Willis, 2nd Place 150lbs; Corey Wilson 2nd Place 140 lbs. - Georgia Big Kids State Championships
2010 – Middle School Team - Fourth Place, USAW Division and seventh place Overall in State – Georgia Middle School Duals (out of 32 teams)
2010 - Triple Crown Winner, Charles Routt
2010 - Ryan Willis, 1st Place; Johnathan Kwateng, 3rd Place; Cameron Whiteman, 3rd Place; Robert Copenhaver, 4th Place; Charles Routt, 4th Place; Rowdy Miller, 4th Place - Georgia Big Kids State Championships.
