We are excited to have registration online this season. You can link to the registration form via the JR Hornet Blog Spot - you`ll need to fill out the registration form - print out and sign the authorization to treat minor and the liability waiver form, and bring to your wrestler`s first practice.
You can pay via paypal through the blog spot as well. Fees for the 2010-2011 Season are $125.00 before September 30th, and $150.00 after October 1st.

New Online Registration - Registration Info. - Check this OUT! -

We Hope everyone is having a great summer.
Just wanted to update everyone on some changes this season, We`ve made some changes that should be easier for everyone. We are going to have registration start earlier this year so that we get the orders in on time and will be prepared for the start of the season. We`ve reduced registration to $125.00 dollars if paid by September 30, 2010 after that it will be $150.00 dollars.
We plan to have an online payment option up and running soon.
Online registration is open NOW, registration is not complete until payment has been received. We are trying to get an idea who is planning to join up. The online form is located uder the JR Hornet tab under links or you can visit the blogspot at: The JR Hornet Nation blog link is located on the main Roswell Wrestling site or can be found here: http://www.roswelljrhornetwrestling.blogspot.com/Alternatively, click on the JR Hornet button to the left, click links and then select JR Hornet Registration.
Registration will not be complete until season fees are received.
Checks can be mailed to Roswell JR Hornet Wrestling, 160 Wavetree Drive, Roswell, Georgia, 30076. Make the check payable to Roswell JR Hornet Wrestling .
The sooner we can get a head count on how many folks are planning to participate this coming fall, the sooner we can get the orders in for New Singlets, Practice Shorts and Shirts.
We are changing the design of the practice shirts this season and will be selling all of our left over inventory as Spirit Wear, $5.00 a piece (shorts and shirts - we have all sizes from child small to adult extra large) sizes and quantities are limited but, we`ll post the inventory on the blog site soon.
Also, we have used head gear and shoes $5.00 a set also, or you can swap what you have for a different size for free - we`ll post the types and sizes on the blogsite. Used saves a great deal especially when you have a growing child and/or if you and your child aren`t sure you want to stick with the sport (New headgear runs from $15 to ++$ and new wrestling shoes range from $20 to ++$) - you can also by used at some various sports shops, check with us first, we can probably get you a better deal, for sizes in inventory.
A great bargain, if you are new to the sport and have a growing child.
If you have used head gear or shoes that are kicking around the house that you want to donate or trade, please feel free to let us know.
Proceeds benefit Roswell JR Hornets.
All of the coaches, directors, administration are all volunteers and give up 6-8 hours a week in practices and practically most of the weekends for our Roswell Wreslters. All of our coaches have completed background screening by USA wrestling and are card carrying USA members.
We have a lot of exciting things in store for Roswell Wrestling in the 2010-2011 Season.
All of our amazing coaches are returning for 2010-2011, check out our Head Coach, Randy Faires on our coaches link, we also have a newspaper clipping about Randy`s amazing wrestling career on our files link.
We hope to see as many new and returning wrestlers and families as possible.
Football players, are more than welcome, many football players benefit from the wrestling conditioning regime.

JR Hornet Wrestling Practices start, November 1, 2010.
Practices Start November 1, 2010 – both middle school and elementary teams.
Elementary School Practices:
Mondays and Wednesdays 6:00 to 7:30; Roswell High School Wrestling Room.
Middle School Practices:
Monday, Tuesday and Thursday 7:00 to 8:30; Roswell High School Wrestling Room.
We have a talented cadre of coaches at both the elementary and middle school levels. All of the coaches are volunteers and are dedicated to fostering the success of each and every wrestler. All of our coaches are USA Wrestling card carrying members and have passed vigorous background checks.

New to Wrestling and Don`t Know How to Score? -

On the multimedia menu button to the left, we`ve linked two decent tutorials that walk through scoring a match.
The bout sheets we use are a bit different than what is dipicted, but the general overview of the scoring is good to know.
We`ll get some more tutorial type information up and out there as we get closer to the start of the season!
We also have a link in the forms/files (on the JR Hornet link)to a chart of referee hand signals.

Are you ready to wrestle??
Want to wrestle and don`t know how?
No problem!
We are looking for wrestlers or current non-wrestlers(male/female) all ages and abililties (and non-wreslters) in elementary through middle school.
We will train you.
If you aren`t sure you want to wrestle and and want to know more, let us know.
We take beginners and folks that have had experience - we`ll work with you regardless of your ability and/or skill level. We tailor size, age and ablity.
If you want to wrestle - think of Roswell.
No experience required.
We`ll put in the commitment to highlight your commitment level.
We have a stellar cadre of exceptional coaches at both the elementary level and middle school level and are working hard to promote the sport of Wrestling, not only within the Roswell area, but within the state of Georgia.
We are affiliated with USA Wrestling.
All of our coaches are volunteers, have wrestling backgrounds and have undergone extensive USA Wrestling background checks.
Our coaches work toward identifying skill levels and work to improve skills through one-on-one instruction, pairing and drilling.
If you have an interest and are willing to put in hard work, check out Roswell Wrestling.
We practice several nights per week, you don`t have to try out to be on the team show up and work hard!
Wrestling is not about power, it`s knowing how to show up and knowing where your body is and how to use it on the mat.
Get your game on Football players, it will help you in the long run!
